– Draw a free body diagram for different situations with correct force labels and reasonably sized force arrows.
– Determine the unknown force(s) for an object that has no acceleration.
– Apply the momentum principle for cases where you know the forces, but don’t know the time or the distance.
– Use the momentum principle to find an unknown force if you know the changes in motion of the object.
