Starting Numerical Calculations

If you don’t know where to start with numerical calculations, start here:

If you work through that, you should have a numerical model that will at least get you a score of 3.  After that, you can find some way to make a non-constant force.  Here are some options:

  • Just make some fake force that isn’t realistic but is not constant.
  • Air resistance on a falling ball or on a baseball or something.
  • An object moving under the influence of a spring (I will talk about springs in class).
  • Orbital motion of an object – I will post a starter program for this.
